Terminal activities in La Spezia

Terminal activities such as filling/emptying containers, lashing/unlashing oversized items to/from flat racks, shrink wrapping, certified weighing and palletization are performed at the 2 Terminals in La Spezia, of 10,000 m² and 6,500 m², respectively, of which 2,600 m² are covered for warehouse use, fenced in, with video surveillance and alarms.

We also offer the same services from the port of Genoa.

Shrink wrapping: since anything can be completely covered, heat-shrinking polyethylene allows you to protect an entire load or even an entire container.

This is the ideal cover for transport and exceptional shipments, where the entire piece is covered with a high-resistance anti-tear net.

By request, items can also be covered off-site.

Goods storage: our terminals are authorized by the Customs Agency as a Tax Deposit, Private Customs Depot and Temporary Custody Deposit, and this allows us to move and store goods to foreign countries.

We supply sheets to cover goods and containers: Cover Jolly and PVC 630 g/m² or 800 g/m².

Fumigation: we have an area specifically dedicated to our fumigation service, which is carried out by specialized companies such as CDL of Livorno, New Cianidrica of Genoa and ABRAS of Parma.

VGM: the verified gross mass of a container corresponds to the net weight of the goods, its packaging and possible lashing, added to the net weight of the container.

Since 1 July 2016, a SOLAS amendment has been in force in which the weight of the gross mass (precisely the VGM) is mandatory for the acceptance of the container on board.

The goal is to correctly stow and stack containers to avoid collapse or falls into the sea, or to prevent accidents resulting from the incorrect distribution of weight on board.
