History

1974 Foundation
Triacca Trasporti was created in 1974 by Giovanni Petri and Mariarosa Triacca.

1977 Transport
In 1977 the real transport activities began. In 1986 Triacca Trasporti Srl was founded, managed by Giovanni and his sons Doriano and Federico.
Activities were carried forward by the full-time work of these three, specializing not only in transport but also in lifting activities in the construction sector, thanks to the purchase of their first cherry picker.

1994
Given the downturn in construction in the midst of "tangentopoli" in 1994, the company decided to move its core business to activities related to the merchant port, where it began unloading ships laden with coils (steel coils for the metal industry).

1995–1996 Exceptional
In 1995 and 1996 Triacca Trasporti, together with the other activities, began with its first 'exceptional' transports.

1998 Port, industry and pleasure boating
In 1998, construction was mostly abandoned to focus more on port, industrial and leisure activities.
2002–2003 Terminals
In 2002 and 2003, the company expanded its business with 'terminal' activities (container filling and emptying).
With this new business branch, 'exceptional' transports multiplied, allowing Triacca to operate not only in the territory of La Spezia, but throughout Italy.

2009–2010 "Hanging in there"
At Triacca Trasporti, our clientele ranges from large groups to many small and medium-sized enterprises scattered mostly throughout northern Italy. This strategy has allowed us to better withstand the crisis, containing the effects that affected about 6% of turnover just in the 2009–2010 two-year period.

2011–2018 Growth
Triacca Trasporti srl is committed to constantly increasing turnover, as has happened in the last few years. This enables us to have the resources necessary to invest constantly in means that satisfy your needs and, above all, to offer new jobs, increasing our number of current employees to over 70 people.

Today


Our corporate strategy consists in investing both in advanced means and technologies and in highly specialized personnel, who continue to be involved in corporate life. We believe that in the 21st century, in addition to having competitive tools at the national level, the big difference is made by people who believe in and embrace our corporate values: availability, flexibility and reliability.

Most of our staff members began their careers in the yard and then moved into the offices. This allows everyone to know, understand and manage our vehicle traffic in the best possible way, because given the same services, people make the difference.
As a company we try to implement green innovations working towards the environmentally sustainable logistics, because we are aware of the impact that transport has on the environment. It is precisely to support the ecological needs of logistics that we use newer, low-emission means of transport.

With our high and efficient level of services, Triacca Trasporti has become a well-known, established company in the transport sector over the last 40 years.

It is no coincidence that since 2008, apart from a very slight decline in 2009, we have increased our turnover every year.

Our strong propensity for investments to strengthen our services repays the effort and makes the company grow.

Ever renewed fleet
We have always paid a lot of attention to renewing our fleet of vehicles. Since 1998 we have constantly bought and updated our vehicle fleet which, by habit, we never trade in, but rather use them 'to the end'. We place new vehicles in the 'lineup' and put 'old' ones to work as shuttles from our terminal to the port.
Headquarters expansion
At our main historical site, we have made an important investment and added a second operating terminal, thereby doubling the area available to customers and increasing efficiency.
